HP Foundation Silent Auction

I was asked earlier this month if I could donate some baked goods for the HP Foundations silent auction. Now I said yes at the time of asking, but this past week has been the worst week to spend time baking. With the exclusion of myself, my entire family has come down with Bronchitis and some other minor issues, but since I agreed to, I can't and don't really have the heart to back out, even if I don't have any energy left to spread around. You know this camera phone doesn't do these pictures any justice. So, if you can imagine a more clear picture, it really did look quite nice. I really need a decent camera.

Item 1 for bid was a box of morning pastries.

Item 2 for bid was this lovely Ginger Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting and candied Ginger Garnish.
It happens to be my favorite cake this year. It is my first time making it, and it is quite addictive, if you like ginger.
Item 3 was a tray of 6 Vanilla Bean Frosted Cinnamon Rolls.

I prayed for the individuals who would actually win these items. I don't know their name but my Lord does, plus the money raised goes to scholarships for families at the church.

The Bible verse I have been working on memorizing this week is 1 Timothy 1-4.
"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- (2) for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.(3) This is  good, and pleases God our Savior, (4) who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of truth."

A prayer for the Saints

Some of the people I truly admire are those in constant work for the Lord. The church staff. I wish I made enough for all of them, but this week it is enough for those that I am truly blessed by every week.

So there is Strawberry Danish with Cream Cheese, Blueberry Danish, Chocolate and Almond Filled Croissant.
Also, I made Fluer de Sel Caramels in the little organza pouch and here was the finished product.

Suzi's Leukemia Fundraiser

I was asked by my best friend in middle school if I could donate something for a silent auction she is promoting for her Team In Training, team for Leukemia. So I picked my brain for days and came up with this. Its a silver serving tray covered in French Macarons. So, I pray that it raises her team money. Enjoy the pics...

I think it needs a bow tie? I will try it out.
